The old saying goes, “…a picture is worth 1000 words.” Now, sayings have a way of being wrong, and with inflation being what it is, it’s very likely that that conversion rate is only an estimate, at best. But I thought, still, that it had a nice ring to it; so, some exponential notation and a Latin prefix later, et voila: a brand-new meme is born.
This is primarily a place to look at photos. But I tend to write a lot, too, so you’ll have to take the “1 picture = 10^3 words” somewhat loosely. Even though the images might speak for themselves, no-one’s likely to speak for me, so I’ll be doing a lot of that.
In addition, I also browse the net an inordinate amount, so from time to time there will be some snippet or detail I can’t keep from sharing, so that might show up, too. There is a lot of good photography out there, and a ton of interesting technology; these will certainly be fodder for discussion.
In any case, enjoy the multitude of words, however they’re delivered. But before you dive in too far, perhaps you’ll want to read a bit about the pictures that also, I hope, will feature heavily on this blog.
